Terms of service
These terms apply to every cleaning booked with ClearHaven Cleaners in the Houston area. Booking a cleaning means you agree to them. Last updated October 2026.
1. Services and pricing
- What's included. Each service covers the tasks on our What's Included list. Anything not listed, or listed as an add-on, is not part of the price.
- Flat-rate quotes. Prices are set by home size and service. If the home is larger or in noticeably different condition than described, we may adjust the price before work starts, with your approval.
- Deep and move-out cleans. We quote these from a short video walkthrough. Homes in heavy condition may get an estimate range with a maximum, and we won't go over it without your OK.
- Sales tax. Texas sales tax is added to every cleaning and add-on.
- Not offered. Biohazard cleanup, work above about 8 feet, moving heavy furniture, and the other items on our not-included list.
2. Scheduling and access
- Arrival window. We give a 2-hour arrival window and will text you if we're running late.
- Getting in. Give us a door code, lockbox, hidden key, or have someone home. You're responsible for making sure entry works on the day.
- Lockouts. If our cleaner can't get in, can't reach you within 15 minutes, or the home isn't ready to clean, the visit is charged at 50% of the scheduled price.
- Alarms. Give us the code or turn the alarm off before we arrive. We're not responsible for false-alarm fees.
3. Cancellations, rescheduling and recurring service
- 24 hours' notice. Cancel or reschedule for free with at least 24 hours' notice.
- Late cancellation. Less than 24 hours' notice is charged a $50 fee. Same-day cancellations are charged 50% of the scheduled price.
- Weather and emergencies. If severe weather or an emergency makes travel unsafe, either of us can reschedule with no fee.
- If we cancel. We'll tell you as early as possible and reschedule at no charge.
- Recurring discounts. Weekly, every-2-weeks and monthly prices require keeping that schedule. If visits are skipped, the next visit may be charged at the one-time price.
- Ending recurring service. No long-term contract. Cancel anytime with 24 hours' notice before your next visit.
4. Payment
- Payment. Payment is due when each cleaning is completed, by card or Zelle.
- Deposits. Deep and move-out cleans may require a 25% deposit to hold the date, applied to your final price.
- Declined payments. We'll pause future visits until a declined payment is resolved. Balances unpaid after 7 days may be charged a $25 late fee.
- Tips. Optional, and 100% goes to your cleaner.
- Disputes. Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank so we can make it right.
5. Satisfaction guarantee
- Tell us within 48 hours. If something on your service's checklist was missed, contact us within 48 hours with photos.
- Free re-clean. We'll send a cleaner back to fix those areas at no charge, usually within 2 business days.
- What it covers. Tasks included in the service you booked. Not add-ons you didn't book, areas blocked by clutter, or items listed as not included.
- No cash refunds. Our remedy is a re-clean. If we can't make it right after a re-clean, we'll work with you on a partial credit toward a future visit.
6. Damage, safety and liability
- Reporting damage. Report damage within 48 hours, with photos. We'll repair, replace or reimburse the item at actual cash value, at our choice.
- Missing items. If you believe something is missing after a cleaning, tell us within 48 hours and file a police report. We'll look into it with our cleaner. Please put valuables away before every visit.
- Not covered: normal wear, pre-existing damage, unsecured items, cleaning products you asked us to use, and high-value or sentimental items left out. Please put away valuables, cash, jewelry and heirlooms.
- Safety. Our cleaner may stop work or leave if they feel unsafe, including aggressive pets, unsafe conditions or harassment. The visit is then charged as a lockout.
- Biohazards and conditions. We may decline or stop work if we find bodily fluids, mold, pest infestations, pet waste or conditions much worse than described. We'll contact you before charging anything beyond a lockout.
- Limit of liability. Except where the law requires otherwise, our total responsibility for any claim is limited to the price of the cleaning involved or the actual cash value of a damaged item, whichever is greater.
7. Your responsibilities and our cleaners
- Before each visit: pick up clutter, secure pets or tell us about them, and put away valuables and medications.
- Utilities. Water and electricity must be on. For move-outs, the home should be empty.
- Accurate details. Give us accurate home size, bathroom count and condition. Big differences may change the price.
- Hiring our cleaners. Our cleaners are independent professionals we've vetted and placed with you. If you hire a cleaner we introduced, directly or through someone else, during your service or within 12 months after it ends, a $1,000 placement fee applies.
8. General
- Photos. Cleaners may take before-and-after photos for quality checks and damage records. We won't post photos of your home publicly without your permission.
- Changes. We may update these terms and will notify recurring customers at least 14 days before changes take effect.
- Governing law. Texas law, with disputes handled in Harris County, Texas.
